the Story
Cobra (1986) is a high-octane action classic starring Sylvester Stallone as the relentless LAPD Lieutenant Marion “Cobra” Cobretti. A member of the elite “Zombie Squad,” Cobretti is assigned to protect Ingrid Knudsen from a brutal cult of serial killers known as the “New World,” also referred to as the Night Slasher gang. Armed with his uncompromising attitude and legendary one-liner — “You’re the disease, and I’m the cure” — Cobra wages a one-man war against crime. Directed by George P. Cosmatos and based on Paula Gosling’s novel A Running Duck, the film became a global box-office hit and later achieved cult status as one of the most iconic action movies of the 1980s.
