His frustrations often peaked with wild guesses: “Tricnine? No… xyline?!” In moments of panic, Luis turned to his inner calm, attempting to channel the patience his yoga instructor had preached. But when that failed, his last resort was a simple formula—cough syrup and aspirin—an easy fix to any unreadable mess. “Next, please,” he’d call out, hoping the next prescription would be easier to crack. His decision to become a pharmacist seemed like a bad idea, but his coping mechanism never failed: a little bit of everything, just in case.
