Madar alsuwaidi

Madar Alsuwaidi is an Emirati ceramic artist whose creative journey blends heritage, intuition, and contemporary craftsmanship. As the Operations Manager at House of Clay, a Dubai-based ceramic gallery and art space founded by her mother, Madar transforms clay into soulful forms that celebrate the meeting point between art, community, and emotion.
What began as a family passion has evolved into a creative hub where she continues to nurture others’ artistic potential. Through pottery workshops, art events, and corporate team-building sessions, Madar has inspired countless beginners, families, and children to explore the tactile beauty of clay and discover their own creative rhythm.
Each of her ceramic sculptures and functional art pieces is one-of-a-kind, hand-built using coil-building techniques, carved textures, and layered glazes. Guided by intuition rather than strict design, she allows the material itself to shape the outcome. Her faceless yet expressive figures reveal emotion and meaning that often emerge only once the work is complete, reflecting themes of resilience, presence, and self-discovery.
Since 2018, Madar has presented several theme-based ceramic collections, created private commissions, and participated in local art fairs and exhibitions across Dubai. Her collaborations include community-driven projects such as a breast cancer awareness initiative, as well as speaking engagements like World Art Dubai, where she shared insights on the artistic and meditative dimensions of fine ceramics.
For Madar, clay is more than a medium, it is a living dialogue between hand and heart, tradition and innovation. Each artwork she creates embodies the timeless balance between form and feeling, making her a distinctive voice in the evolving world of contemporary Emirati ceramics.
