Bahaa Jawhari, born in 1984 in Aaramoun, Lebanon, is a contemporary Lebanese artist whose creative journey began at an early age. Growing up in a supportive and nurturing family, he developed a deep passion for artistic expression, constantly exploring craftsmanship, visual creativity, and skilled trades. From his early years, art became a fundamental part of his identity, shaping his path as a dedicated and evolving artist.

After completing his studies, Bahaa pursued an early career in the beauty industry, where his artistic sensibility and attention to detail quickly distinguished him, earning him recognition as “the artist.” Despite his success in this field, his passion for fine art continued to grow stronger. Seeking independence and a deeper connection to his creativity, he established his own studio in Hazmieh, transforming it into a personal sanctuary where he could fully dedicate himself to his artistic practice.

Immersing himself in the art world, Bahaa chose to surround himself with fellow artists, an experience that significantly enriched his conceptual thinking and strengthened his artistic vision. His curiosity and desire for growth led him to expand his horizons internationally, spending a year in London where he conducted research in contemporary art, attended specialized seminars, and participated in university-level courses in art history, composition, and artistic restoration. These experiences played a key role in refining his technique and broadening his understanding of modern and contemporary art.

With more than 20 years of creative exploration, Bahaa Jawhari has developed a unique artistic identity that bridges emotion, color, and expressive storytelling. His journey reflects a continuous pursuit of experimentation and self-discovery, positioning him as a distinctive voice within the Lebanese contemporary art scene and the broader Middle Eastern art landscape.

For Bahaa, art is deeply personal. For over two decades, he has balanced a hairbrush in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, until his love for painting became his true calling. Through his work, he reconnects with his inner child—a place of pure imagination, spontaneity, and authenticity. Inspired by the philosophy of Wassily Kandinsky and the idea of returning to “point zero,” Bahaa believes that true artistic expression emerges from a state of innocence and emotional honesty.
