The Piano by Emilie Haddad

the Story
The Piano is part of a series of paintings Emilie created that stemmed from her love for movies and graphic shots.
Emilie chose a scene from a movie and added a twist to it, her own take on it.
This piece is inspired by the movie poster that resumes the movie pretty well.
The actress is deaf-mute: the birds Emilie added are an illustration of the feeling and relation the actress has with music throughout the film… a metaphor of the black notes.
And the non detailed face is the way she feels unseen because of her handicap.
The frame format is custom made at 16×9 which is a movie screen format to immerse the “viewer” further.
