Rafa Tom is an award-winning Contemporary Fine Artist based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Of Lebanese origin and a Canadian citizen, Rafa is internationally recognised for her distinctive approach to contemporary art and her work across a wide range of artistic mediums.

Rafa has been awarded the prestigious title of “Grand Art Master of Lights” by the World Academy of Art in Italy and has also been recognised as an Art Ambassador by Effetto Arte Italy. She is a Supporting Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) and has received numerous international awards celebrating her contribution to the world of fine art.

Her achievements include being recognised as Best Contemporary Artist in the UAE by BeingShe Organization in 2023 and Best International Fine Artist in the UAE by Expatz Hub in 2024. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally, including on the TSX screen in Times Square, New York, as well as at the Florence Biennale, MEAM Museum in Barcelona, and Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

Throughout her artistic career, Rafa has received numerous prestigious awards from Europe and the UAE, including the Oscar of Art from Italy, Picasso Award from France, Leonardo Da Vinci Award from Florence, Claude Monet Award from Monte Carlo, Art Olympic Medal from Rome, and World Cup Trophy for Art from Côte d’Azur, alongside honorary recognitions including Michelangelo, Zeus, Medusa, Laocoön, and Leonidas awards.

Rafa graduated from the College of Fine Art at the Lebanese University, where several of her artworks were selected and reserved with distinction. She later pursued a Master’s degree in Art Education at the Arab University.

Her artistic practice spans a diverse range of fine art mediums, including oil painting, acrylic painting, pastels, watercolors, charcoal, ink, and mixed-media textures. Having lived and worked in Los Angeles and Canada as a freelance painter and art educator, Rafa later relocated to Saudi Arabia, where she directed the Fine Art Program at international schools in Riyadh while continuing her artistic and academic development.

Today, Rafa continues to create and exhibit her work from Dubai, combining her international experience, artistic education, and passion for experimentation to develop expressive works of contemporary and modern art.
